Volunteers are coming together to clean up and preserve historic Linwood Cemetery in Macon’s Pleasant Hill neighborhood. Medal of Honor recipient Marine Sgt. Rodney M. Davis is buried there, along with generations of veterans and the community leaders and families who helped shape Macon.

Firefighters from Local 121, employees of the Macon Housing Authority and Sheridan Construction, Mercer University students, and the Macon Cemetery Preservation Corporation are joining forces. Come for an hour or the whole morning, and bring gloves, rakes, and trimmers. A dumpster and dump truck will be on site for debris.
