MEET THE COMMISSIONER
About Commissioner Paul Bronson
Paul Bronson is a native of Georgia, born in Macon to Kenneth and Carita Bronson, and the third of four siblings. He currently serves as the Command Inspector General for the Army Reserve Sustainment Command based in Birmingham, Alabama. With more than 21 years of military service, Paul has built a career rooted in leadership, accountability, and service to both country and community.
Paul attended Central High School before continuing his education at Georgia Military College, Fort Valley State University, and Wesleyan College. Following his studies, he was hand-selected for the prestigious White House Internship Program and later completed a one-year operational tour with the Joint Staff J-1 Office at the Pentagon, working under the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Service has always been central to Paul’s life. He also worked with the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department, where he was assigned to Station 11 on Riverside Drive and answered the call for families, friends, and neighbors during moments of crisis. Beyond his professional service, Paul has remained deeply engaged in the community—volunteering with local organizations such as the Mentors Project, serving with civic groups like the Rotary Club, and graduating as a proud alumnus of Leadership Macon through the Macon-Bibb Chamber of Commerce. He is also the founder of KingsMen Foundation, Inc., an organization dedicated to mentoring young men and encouraging community involvement.
Driven by a desire to see stronger leadership and more urgent progress for families across Middle Georgia, Paul stepped forward early in his career to seek public office. That commitment to service and persistence led to his election in 2020 as Commissioner for District 2 under the newly formed Macon-Bibb government, where he continues to work on behalf of the community he calls home.
